Wang Xiang Zhai
Wang Xiang Zhai (1886-1963) is the one that rediscovered the secret of zhan zhuang and incorporated it in a system for power and health development. As a child his health was weak and at the age of eight his parents took him to a master of “internal martial arts“. Soon Wang was seen as a special student, because he picked up things where other students didn't see the benefit. Stand still and grow from within. Due to the still training Wang was soon in good health and more advanced than the other students. Wang became a living legend and was seen as a genius in the Chinese martial arts. With his extreme power and great wisdom he was a source of inspiration in and out of China.
“The mother of all activity is stillness” was the essential understanding of Wang Xiang Zhai, not only in words, but also in actions.
One morning in 1944 a young worn-out man came to master Wang’s class in the park. That was professor Yu Yong Nian.
